Equestrian

Horses have been a part of my life since I was 3 years old. While living in Pennsylvania as a teen I competed in the sport of Three-Day Eventing and traveled throughout the eastern United States attending competitions that were both nationally and internationally recognized. A highlight from my  competition years includes a Bronze medal & individual 4th place in the long format CCI* at the North American Junior Young Riders Championship 2006 (FEI result).

While actively  Eventing I often was competing up to 6 horses at a time at various levels and of various breeds, from Arabians to Thoroughbreds to Warmbloods. I spent a lot of time learning to break youngsters and re-train Thoroughbreds as they came from the racetrack to start a new career.

After moving to Arizona in 2007 I spent some time training and showing  horses in Dressage and English Pleasure before taking some time away from riding in 2011 to focus on my college degree and my career as a web developer.

I have been lucky enough to ride and clinic with some of the world’s best as well, including:

  • Lucinda Green – Olympic medalist in Eventing
  • Greg Best – Olympic medalist in Show Jumping
  • Jim Wofford – Olympic medalist in Eventing
