It always amuses me that there are people who have lived in Arizona for years and have not visited the Grand Canyon even once. It’s truly a breathtaking experience the first time you step up to the edge, and worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime.
Making the 5 hour trip while my parents visited was an easy choice, so we trekked up for a weekend and my mom and I even took the extra adventurous step by taking an 8 hour guided mule ride into the canyon.
